The WirthCo Engineering 4-Way Trailer End is a great tool to have in your shop. It’s actually been around since the 1980s, but it has never given me any problems over the last 30 years. This product can be used on both standard and metric size threads.
I found 21 customer reviews at the time of writing and they had awarded this brake lathe four stars out of a possible five on average.
Most customers said that their experience with this item was very positive overall and there were no complaints about quality or reliability.
However, one person did say that “the threading guide does not parallel” which could cause some issues for you if you are using this machine professionally or at least as part of an assembly line . Other people mentioned how durable it is, particularly when compared to machines from other brands like “Troy Built”. They also noted how easy its use is: “This unit comes ready made for job site duty without having to spend hours trying get set up” One final point I want to make before recommending these brakes lathes by WirthCo engineering is that people tend to compare them against comparable products from different manufacturers who sell similar units because they’re so cost effective: -“We upgraded our unit with new bearings [from another brand] instead… The difference was significant.” And finally most agreed saying things like “it performs well”, “worth every penny” etc., but only one person seemed dissatisfied stating, “”It got bent during shipment””

Conclusion

The WirthCo Engineering 4-Way Trailer End is a heavy duty brake lathe designed to be used by professional mechanics. It has an adjustable bed, precision gears and machined tool holders so that you can work on any project with ease. The armature of the machine is made out of hardened steel, which makes it durable and long lasting enough for even your toughest jobs. If you’re looking for something specific in a trailer end then this may not be ideal but if you need more versatility than most trailers have room for multiple brakes
